Seasonal School on MEMS and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integrated Circuits and Systems for Biomedical Applications In conjunction with University-Industry Forum entitled “Bridging Innovation between University and Industry: MEMS and AI in Circuits and Systems for Biomedical Applications.

The IEEE Circuits and Systems, Malaysia Chapter, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Perlis, has successfully organised the Seasonal School on MEMS and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integrated Circuits and Systems for Biomedical Applications In conjunction with University-Industry Forum entitled “Bridging Innovation between University and Industry: MEMS and AI in Circuits and Systems for Biomedical Applications on the 27th February – 29th February 2024. The program was held in Thinker Space 2, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The Seasonal School on MEMS and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integrated Circuits and Systems for Biomedical Applications which highlights the key technology for the 21st century in artificial intelligence and biomedical applications aims to offer the students, researchers, practitioners, and experts to share about the state-of-the-art in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to modern sensors and actuators design and automation systems. The program has invited distinguished speakers from both academia and industries for professional and technical talks. The aim of this seasonal school is to provide a platform for students, researchers, practitioners, and experts to delve into the fundamentals of MEMS, explore state-of-the-art micromechanical fabrication techniques, and discover the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning to modern sensors, actuators design, and automation systems. Besides that, the speakers also shared notes and academic materials on microelectromechanical systems, circuits and systems as well as artificial intelligence.
Beside that, an industrial forum was held on the 29th February 2024 in conjunction with the seasonal school. The industry forum entitled “Bridging Innovation: Circuits & Systems in MEMS and Biosensors” was a platform or event where professionals, researchers, and industry leaders gather and discussed the advancements, challenges, and future directions in the field of MEMS (Micro- Electro-Mechanical Systems) and biosensors, particularly focusing on the circuits and systems aspect. This forum serves as a bridge between academia and industry, facilitating collaboration, knowledge exchange, and potential partnerships to drive innovation in this specialized area.
In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, the convergence of Micro-Electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) and biosensors has revolutionized various industries, from healthcare to environmental monitoring. This university-industry forum aimed to establish a collaborative platform, bringing together academia, industry experts, and innovators to explore the latest advancements, challenges, and future prospects in circuits and systems related to MEMS and biosensors.
