This year, CAS (Malaysia) organized the inaugural awards program for the undergraduate projects, namely the IEEE CAS(M) Innovation Award. The award was conferred to five recipients, from five different university. Congratulations to all award winners.
The award committee, chaired by Dr Tang Tong Boon with members from all representatives of the five universities made the selection based on the innovativeness of the project. Qualifying projects are from those students who completed the project between June 2012 and June 2013.
The awards were presented by the CAS chair, Dr Fawnizu Azmadi Hussin during the CAS(M) Hi-Tea on 29th June 2013.

Yong Bang Ming (Universiti Sains Malaysia), Project titled “Embedded Object Detection, Tracking and Targeting System (EmODeTTS)”

Chew Kean Ho (Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation), Project titled “Integrated Embedded Input/Output Tester Design – I2C and USB (WIRED)”
