DIY Arduino Workshop was organized to expose the students to the simple process for using Arduino design kit. Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.

During this workshop, http://www.engineersgarage.com/articles/smart-phones the students have a chance to know the detail about the concept and functionality of Arduino. They have been taught to build a simple digital piano using the kit with simple electronic components with the help from the tutors from USM.

It is hoped that students have gain the benefits during the workshop. They were given chance to learn how to create their own Arduino design and it is with hope it may help them in developing their projects in future.

Objective

  1. To introduce DIY Arduino to secondary school students.
  2. To encourage students to develop their own Arduino based design
  3. To encourage students to get involve and have passion in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
